Please view the film Resilience. This film documents the research of Vincent Felitti and Robert Anda in which a link was found between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), and physical and psychological health problems across the lifespan. Basically, this longitudinal study found that children who experienced various types of psychological trauma showed an increased risk for physical, psychological, and social health problems throughout their lives. The film also describes ways in which children who are exposed to trauma early in life can develop resilience to these adverse childhood experiences.
In this Assignment watch the film to answer these three questions:
1) Describe the factors that are included in the ACE Questionnaire
2) Describe at least four of the findings of Felitti and Anda as depicted in the graphs they present throughout the film.
3) Discuss the Miss Kendra intervention. In what ways does this intervention teach children to be more resilient in the face of trauma?
