Networking provides access to countless opportunities for nurses and patients and allows them to communicate and interact with each other in order to improve nursing care. Many different networking tools are currently being used by nursing professional to improve patient safety, patient satisfaction and overall well-being. some of these networking tools include Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, tele health nursing and many nurses networking sites like NurseZone and AllNurses. These sites can offer a lot of different opinions and feedback. The big thing to remember when networking is to be active in the communication process; don’t just be a fly on the wall. I have networked in my community in the workplace by getting referrals for the Haitian community on healthier living and support groups to help them reach a healthier lifestyle, resources they can use to obtain more information on exercising.
