For the paper, consider the two plays we covered in this class. These 2 plays are “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” and “August: Osage County”. Using Three Uses of the Knife, describe how each play handled the idea of Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3. Remember, these are not necessarily precise Acts (although they could be), but these are ideas of what drama does (or should do) in three distinct ways. Explain how each play was successful (or not) in encapsulating these ideas. Finally, give me a summary of your thoughts (attitudes) about the two plays’ subject matter, delivery, and whether or not you felt “…free to sigh or morn.”
The paper should be 1000-1250 words and it should be typed in MLA format. Quotes and references to the story should be properly documented, and there should be a works cited page that includes the two plays and Three Uses of the Knife as sources.
