In Singapore, there are a huge number of self-service stations/kiosks by SingPost known as SAM Kiosks (shown in the Figure 1 below). These are 24-hour multi-application touch screen terminals that can be found at many strategic locations all over Singapore. A large number of people transact at these kiosks every day for postal and payment services.

Assess from a human factors perspective, one task carried out at the SAM Kiosk. In this GBA, you should use the SAM Kiosk version as shown in the Figure 1. Select the task and describe it from the start to completion.

Your assessment should discuss physical ergonomics, cognitive ergonomics, and humancomputer interaction (HCI). Evaluate all the steps involved from start to completion of your selected task, including usability. Explain the good design features and identify shortcomings in this task. Then propose human factors design changes or enhancements that you would make and illustrate your points with drawings, diagrams or photos
