Work placement task:
This assessment task requires you to take on the HR Manager in a simulated environment set up by your Assessor.
In this assessment task, you will be required to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to contribute to organisational performance development through contribution to planning, development and coordination of performance development programs in a simulated environment set up by your Assessor.
This includes:
- Creating a management structure
- Determining support structures
- Devising strategies and resources to attain the desired results
- Creating relevant tools and resources for a program of organisational performance development
- Designing rules and procedures for organisational performance development
- Co-ordinate communications for organisational performance growth
- Assessing and documenting the outcomes of the organisation’s performance development program.
To do so, you are required to complete the following activities.
- Activity 1: Contribute to the establishment of organisational performance planning
- Activity 2: Contribute to the development of organisational performance development program tools and materials
- Activity 3: Coordinate organisational performance development communications
- Activity 4: Evaluate and document the results of the organisational performance development program.

Workplace simulated scenario
Your workplace has not been able to manage the performance of the staff members. This has severely affected your workplace. To achieve the strategic objectives, it must plan and develop a robust performance development program that will allow the workforce to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, perform better, and increase productivity to be better leaders.
The training organisation has analysed that they have lacked in this area due to incompetent processes in place to plan and develop organisational performance development. Since a training organisation is the sum total of what workforce achieve individually, training organisation should do everything in their power to ensure that workforce perform at their peak. The training organisation wants to have detailed and thorough procedures to develop and maintain a performance development program.
This includes:
- Creating a management structure for the performance development program
- Determining support structures for the performance development program
- Devising strategies and resources to attain the desired results
- Creating relevant tools and resources for a program of organisational performance development
- Designing rules and procedures for organisational performance development

Your supervisor wants you to contribute to organisational performance development through contribution to planning, development and coordination of performance development programs.
