Muhole (pronouns they/them/theirs) is an artist from South Africa who uses photographic portraits and self-portraits to break hierarchies and claim power in how LGBTQIA+ people and racialized people are represented. Watch the following videos (one depicts their self-portraits during a residency in Philadelphia (Links to an external site.)  and the other depicts them photographing portraits in South Africa) to learn about their art practice.
