Find fully stressed design (at least one of the stresses is critical); scaling-adjust the thickness to make design critical with scaling factor lamda; if no stresses are critical, decrease lambda from 1 to make one ply critical; if one of the stresses is violated, increase lambda to reach critical design; DO THIS FOR 3 DESIGNS/ITERATIONS; provide stress strain plot for all 3 designs; can be separate 3 designs or optimizations of each other; using MATLAB is not required, just an option to make matrix calculations easier. Calculations can be done by hand if preferred.
