Think about culture and how Baca defines culture in his poetry. Follow the steps below. List your notes (annotations) of at least one poem. Then share your culture poem based on the One Page Paper topic. Respond to at least one classmate writing a four sentence response.
Step 1- Read three Baca poems. Pick from the list provided in this module or conduct a Google search and find your own.
Step 2- List the three poems you chose.
Step 3- Provide annotations for at least one of the poems.
Step 4- Answer How does Baca define and describe his culture?
Step 5- Write your own poem that shows influences from your culture/community. Use vocabulary/phrasing unique to the culture, describe a ritual, define the culture’s rules, and/or show a sense of community. Try to write ten lines for your poem.
