classmates post (Richard);
Hello Class and Professor,
So the article I looked up had more to do with the E-Participation aspect of Social Media Initiatives. Sort of taking on the impact of how social media through Facebook can impact employees and work environments.
Although it’s perfectly ok to use media, in regards to just staying in contact with family and friends or perhaps just letting people know what your day is like, you have to pick and choose how you are relating that information. Nowadays we have virus scan links, hackers, and phishing both physically and mentally. Many of us may find ourselves falling victim to such. More so those of us who kind of relate it and live life to its fullest online. Which is usually teens. So although this source on Facebook can be used for informative contact regards, it can also be beneficial or intangible to what your input can be.
For instance, employees can use the service to show add about their management company, sell goods, or even add a customer base. You’re going to want employees that know how to relate the information without jeopardizing what your company stands for and is trying to do. A sense of customer service, as you will need a staff member or members to relate to those online and answer questions.
As we know it Social Media and technology are going to take over the world one step at a time, so being able to protect your information and the needs of the service is vital. The more it grows, the further need for Security, and the more information that is out there, the more hackers will try to breach information. I guess the key is to monitor your teens and employees, as some information can come across falsely or injure your personal. Both company-wide or individually. An angry employee can cause a lot of issues through the media.
