Submit Activities: Data Visualization Assignment: Chapter 8‑9 Activity Guide

Students will be required to demonstrate knowledge of the data visualization concepts by completing the assigned activities in the Evergreen text for each chapter. Students will compile the assigned data visualization activities for two chapters at a time (for a total of 4 activities for this submission).

Students will include a sentence for each visualization created, describing the ideal use for each (e.g., showing the shape of the overall dataset).

Students will copy the activities from Excel and paste them into a single Word document or PDF for submission.

Submit Activities for Chapters 8 and 9:

Activity: a) Show an effective way to enhance the impact of direct quotes (pick one based on Figure 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, p. 210 – 213);

                b) Create a Gantt chart using a project management outline provided by the instructor (see MS Word template in Canvas module). 

Activity:  Create a line graph (Figure 9.1, p. 259) and deviation bar chart (Figure 9.34, p. 281)

Include a sentence for each of the visualizations you created describing when you would ideally use each of the visualizations (e.g., showing the shape of the overall dataset).
