How do First Responders Prepare for Disasters?

Minor disasters occur almost daily in communities around the United States. Firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical technicians respond to the scene to take the necessary action. Their job is to respond and handle the incident at many different levels. However, when a disaster hits, first responders benefit greatly from the assistance of volunteer programs.
