Research Essay: This is the drop box for the Final Essay (Stage 4). Essay Length: 1200 – 1500 words (excluding reference list). Essay Structure and Content You should use appropriate essay structure outlined in this unit. The essay may be written in argumentative, discursive or problem-solution styles. The content should include both descriptive and analytical elements. The claims must be supported by detailed evidence from academic and other reliable sources. Citing Sources You should cite at least FIVE sources. At least TWO of your sources must be academic journal articles retrieved from the UC database.

Additional Internet sources must be reliable sources from mainstream media sites or government websites. All sources should be cited using the APA 7 standard and you must include a complete reference list. You MUST NOT cite Wikipedia as a source in your essay. Plagiarism This assignment must be written in your own words. Suspected plagiarism from other sources or other students’ work will be investigated. Assignments are screened for plagiarism using URKUND text-matching software. If plagiarism is detected, there will be a substantial deduction in marks and could receive a FAIL grade.
