A brief history of the Palladium ballroom after Swing – This article describes the transition of the legendary Palladium ballroom in New York City from a traditional Swing era jazz dance hall to a venue featuring the top Latino musical artists of the day. A new music was pioneered, which we now call Afro-Cuban Jazz or Latin Jazz. From this style, Salsa and later popular music and dance forms were born.
