2. Define ABC analysis. How is ABC analysis used for inventory management? Imagine that you own own a manufacturing company that is facing inventory problems. Determine your inventoried items (at least 10 items). Then determine the annual usage and unit cost of each item and classify them under Group A, Group B and Group C and complete ABC analysis. How can the data be interpreted?
3. A restaurant chain purchases its supplies from four different food suppliers. The company wants to construct a new central distribution center to process and package the supplies before shipping them to their restaurants. The loads that will be transported from suppliers to the distribution center and the x, y coordinates of each supplier is given in the following table.
