Please reading the two articles and answer the following 2 questions (one for each question). When referring to the behavioral view,
please use behavioral terminology (i.e. discriminative stimulus, reinforcement,
extinction, etc.) whenever appropriate.
1. Question 1: Pelaez-Nogueras and Gewirtz (1992) present
several arguments for the behavior analytic view of moral development. Please describe this argument, focusing
mainly on the behavior analytic view. In
support of your argument please discuss two of the following areas; 1) reinforcement,
2) imitation & delayed imitation, and 3) rule governed / contingency shaped
behavior.
QUESTION 2: Consider the behavior included the terms
attachment and social referencing. Please provide a description of both the
traditional and behavior analytic views of these behaviors. Please describe and
explain how the findings from the work of Gewirtz and Pelaez-Nogueras (2000)
relate to these views.
