My Bapa (my grandfather who is pictured above) used to tell me, “Do what you love; love what you do, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” He loved his work so much that despite having cancer for eight years, he worked until a week before he died. I am by no means saying that we should all live our lives this way, but when I think of it in relationship to Ch. 6, 7 & 8 of Outliers, it helps me process how cultural legacies have affected my life whether it be the familial and/or geographical legacies or patterns of communication.
For this week’s discussion, I have posted several questions. You are welcome to respond to the questions or post your own 250-word response, then (of course) respond to two of your peer’s posts.
