Write a report to highlight two key issues from the literature related to teaching and learning with technology in mathematics, focussing on one area (i.e., geometry, algebra, number, measurement, probability or statistics) in school mathematics.
Your report should have the following structure: • Introduction
o Provide a broad overview of the two issues related to teaching and learning with technology in mathematics, focussing on one area (as above).
• Literature review
o For each issue, provide a synthesis of ideas from the literature.
§ Use headings to ensure the issues are explicit. • Conclusion
o Summarise the key learning from the literature and implications for teaching and learning.
• References Notes:
1. You must incorporate 15 – 20 references in your report, in addition to references to the curriculum documents.
a. At least 10 references must be research papers from academic journals, MERGA conference proceedings or Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME) conference proceedings.
b. At least 5 references should be from teacher journals (e.g. Australian Primary Mathematics Classroom, Australian Mathematics Teacher, The Mathematics Teacher, Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School, etc) or papers from teacher conferences (e.g. MAV conference or AAMT conference).
c. The Maths Education Subject Guide from the library website provides information about journals http://unimelb.libguides.com/maths_education
2. State your word count at the end of your report. The word count must include all words (including headings, figures, tables and in-text citations), excluding the reference list.
3. You must choose a different area of the mathematics curriculum for assessments 1 & 2
4. Workshop notes should be cited as (Ball, 2020a), etc.
5. APA 7 style must be used for citation and references.
