In Emersonian fashion, I am asking you for something new and original this week. Your “quiz” is to go into nature and quiet yourself as much as possible. This process may take some time. Just spend some time in nature without interruption. Pay particular attention to your perceptions as you clear your mind and observe the world around you. After doing so, write down some of your experiences, particularly those that arise from your wandering consciousness and sensory perceptions.
Next, create a 1.5 page response, which connects your experience to at least one of Emerson’s essays. Be as specific as possible with your comparisons and connections.
