Assessment-2 of BUSS 5034 IBSE – a guide

Format of the assignment is available in the Course Outline.
This is a guide for the main features of the assignment:
1. Identify and describe the organisation – show that is truly global.
2. Identify strategic issue(s) – a minimum of one – Justify why do you think it’s a strategic issue – by using one or more of the concepts from the course – preferably the Tripod (introduced in Topic-1, described in Topics 2, 3, and 4, and applied in almost all subsequent topics) – example and description should be clear.
3. Identify Ethical issue(s) – a minimum of one – should be linked to the above strategic issue. Justify why do you think it’s an ethical issue – by using one or more of the concepts from the course – preferably the Stakeholder theory, the three ethical approaches (utilitarian, deontological and virtue) – example and description should be clear.
4. Analyse causes of the strategic issue(s) – using at least TWO concepts from the course (hint: use relevant concepts from topics 5 to 10).

6. Identify solutions: list and describe two solutions with their consequences – one each for strategy and ethical issue. Use concepts from course topics. Why do you think these will work?
7. Write your recommendations – should include an action plan (in a specific and practical way – not general statements) – that can be applied to the two solutions.
8. At least 10 references are required – eight of them should be academic references from journals and books (apart from the textbook).
