hroughout the course, you will compose parts of a mock social media campaign focused on the idea of achieving social justice within an area related to healthcare. Consider as you pick a topic for your campaign that social justice efforts strive to create access and opportunity for people where very little or none has previously existed.
The parts of the campaign will include creating a website (using a free program like Wix) or a mock website (developed in PowerPoint or through Google), creating an infographic (using a program like Canva or within Microsoft Word) or a video PSA, creating appropriate visuals for your campaign and target audience (social media posts and/or local flyers for events), and creating an action toolkit for your supporters. The purpose of the campaign is to inform and persuade a specific target audience about a particular issue related to healthcare and social justice. You want to use your campaign to compel a community to take action. That community could be made up of the residents of a city or the nurses and doctors at a hospital. Your target audience will depend upon the topic you choose and the approach you want to take.
In one double-spaced page, describe your campaign. Within that page, you want to do the following:
Problem Analysis: Define the problem and explain why you think it’s necessary to address.
Demographic Study: Define your local target audience and describe the community the target audience resides in and explain why that audience and community makes sense for the problem you’ve chosen.
Using APA 7th edition (cover page, in-text citations, References page, Times New Roman, 12) you are required to cite two sources to support the need for your campaign. Use one source in each section, so one in the problem analysis area and one in the demographic study area. If you need more than two, that’s okay, but it’s a short paper, so don’t pack too many sources in there.
