HCS 427 Week 4 Discussion Question 2

HCS 427 Week 4 Discussion Question 2 Recent

We all agree that quality and quantity of work are both important but as a manager or future manager how do you balance and evaluate “quality of work” vs. “quantity of work” in managing and reviewing performance?

More specifically: Let’s look at this in the healthcare context and assume that we (using the educational grading scale) have our expectations defined correctly and “C” is meeting the expectations and passing.  “D” is unacceptable.  “B” is above average and “A” is excellent.

Given those definitions is it better to treat:

· 10 patients with A quality,
· 12 patients with B quality, or
· 15 patients with C quality, or
· 20 patients with D quality.
