Guidelines for the Term Paper:
The Term Paper will be 1,500-2,000 words in length, no more, no less. You will have exactly 1 inch
margins all around, double spaced, using Times New Roman 12-point font. It is very important that you
carefully proof-read the final product so that there are zero spelling and grammar mistakes. You will
make sure that each page is enumerated in the lower right corner of the footer. At the top of the first
page should be a title line with the title of your Term Paper (in bold and underlined) and your name,
followed immediately below by the text. You will attach a PDF of your Term Paper and email it to
dgrammen@neiu.edu before 11:59pm on Thursday, June 30th. Your Term Paper will be a thorough review of the assigned textbook for GES 346. You will do a very
careful job of identifying the main themes of the book and you will offer a comprehensive presentation
of these themes. You are not allowed to plagiarize from the book nor to offer extensive quotes. I am
interested in what YOU have to say about what the book says. So, I expect this Term Paper to be in your
own voice and to reflect your own thoughtful analysis of the book
