structure as a company owner/leader. Explain to the class the culture
you aim to build in he future. You don’t have to stick to a strident
model, however consistency is important when leading people.
PPT presentation is required (7-10 slides), you can add short video or interactive activity, 10 minutes
Using the business models that we discussed in class and in your text, including the PPT on Organizational Culture:
Theory X & Y
Transformational & Transactional Leadership
Scientific Method, Bureaucratic Method, Human Relations Theory
Likert’s System of Management: authoritarian, controlling, collaborative, nurturing
Situational Leadership Styles: directing, coaching, supporting, delegating
Structure:
1. Describe your career area (retail, digital marketing, design, film
industry). Detail what type of atmosphere you want to create.
2. What is your Goal for your organization? Are you looking to innovate, drive, compete?
3. What is your Identity? Are you looking to be
group or individual centric? Is this an environment where teamwork
thrives, or is it “each person for themselves”?
