Discussion question:
It is hard not to overestimate Benjamin Franklin’s influence during the era of the early republic. Both a national figure held in high regard as well as the first international celebrity America had, Franklin held the room wherever he went. At the same time, the world in which he lived is quite different from our own. In an original post this week, make the case for reading this now more than 200 year old book. What—if anything—can we glean from this eccentric figure’s writings?
