Every student will write a report on a bill introduced in 2021-2022 session of the CA State Legislature. Report will focus on context, authors, purpose, process, supporters, and opponents, and why it will or will not likely become a law. Must draw on readings and speakers. Length will be ten pages—double space/font of 12. Bills should be chosen from among these topics: housing / homeless issues, K-12 and Higher Education, business, COVID / Health, environment, social justice / racial equality, law enforcement, elections, water, and / or fire policy. [Note: You cannot Choose AB 2046.] Paper must be completed by May 27th.
