Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is to understand the meaning and purpose of organizational mission statements, philosophies and goals. It is essential to know about an organization when proposing and developing a project plan or deciding if your personal philosophy is compatible with their values.

Instructions:

Part A: Create a mission statement, organizational philosophy, nursing service philosophy, goals, and objectives for a fictitious organization. Part B: Based on the videos in Module 2 Lecture Materials & Resources A, explain the importance of nursing leaders having financial literacy and competence in the business aspects of healthcare (regarding reimbursement and keeping costs to a minimum).

Submission Requirements:

· The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.

· The paper should be formatted per current APA and 3-5 pages in length, excluding the title, abstract and references page. Incorporate a minimum of 5 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work.

· Your submission will be assessed through Turnitin.
