Discussion on importance of coral reefs in ocean

succurely

CORAL REEFSMy chosen subject was ocean life, especially coral reefs. In addition to providing safety from storms and erosion, coral reefs provide jobs for locals and recreational activities, as well as serving as a source of food and medicine. Coral reefs are an important part of my life. I did my study on this issue using Google because we provided a selection of articles with thorough information about coral reefs and marine life. Corals have long been used as monuments, house decorations, and jewelry, but many consumers are unaware that these stunning structures are made by living animals. Few people are aware that corals are dying at alarmingly high rates. Coral reef habitats, however, are under grave danger. Disease, predators, and hurricanes are examples of natural risks. Other human-caused risks, such as pollution, soil immersion, unregulated fishing, and climate change, raise sea levels and increase sea acidity. Many of these threats can cause coral to become depressed, resulting in coral light and mortality, while others can inflict physical damage to these delicate ecosystems.Because most people know corals are rooted in the sea, the misconception that they are plants is common. Corals are Cnidarians, or sea creatures. Corals cover a lot of ground, albeit slowly. They are one of the fastest growing species on the planet, growing about 1 centimeter every year. Coral reefs of a few square miles can take a million years to form. Marine tourism contributes to this issue, as corals are beautiful and healthy creatures. Sand mining has made the seafloor more unstable in recent decades. Worse, our actions are destroying the earth. Corals, which spread across the water, are a great natural erosion cure. They help stabilize the earth and prevent large-scale movement. Humans must learn more about marine life and its importance because it accounts for 50-80 percent of all living things on the planet’s surface, and the ocean contains 99 percent of all life. Humans have only screened about ten percent of that space. A dark, cold area occupying 85 percent of the area and 90 percent of the volume is known as the deep sea.
