A disaster can be anything that disrupts the routine operating procedures of an entity.
The entity in question can vary in scope from a small business to a community college or even an entire city (or larger).
Plans should be made in advance and tested before disasters occur. Recovery teams should be trained and required to practice to alleviate confusion in the face of adversity.
