CPN 101 is organized around theme-based inquiry and research. Our theme is homelessness in Central New York (CNY), with an emphasis how homelessness affects teens and young people in the area.
Our research questions are:
• What is homelessness? What is its history as a social issue in the U.S.?
• Which target populations are particularly vulnerable to homelessness? Why?
• Is homelessness an issue in CNY? How does it manifest in CNY?
• What is being done at the federal, state, and county level about homelessness in CNY? Who are the people who are working on this issue?
• What is NOT being done to address homelessness in CNY? How could these gaps be addressed–what actions could be taken? How would you solve the problem?
