Describe the Weighted Average Cost of Capital and what it is used for. Discuss the pros and cons of different funding sources, taking into account the roles of risk, tax and gearing. (30%)
Choose a company listed in the FTSE100, obtain their accounts and describe their long term funding. Calculate the company’s Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) using the techniques we have practiced in class, making clear any assumption that you make. (70%)
