Consider how a new form of digital labour that has emerged from the rise of platform capitalism relates to the relevant nation-state’s media system. Have new issues/problems arisen? Has the government responded (or failed to respond, or enabled this development)?
You may focus on one nation state, or two nation states if both are involved. This could involve content moderation, tech work cultures, delivery driving and its hazards, state-sponsored hacking, or any other form of digital work as explored in Week 11. You may also consider displaced labour; i.e., the jobs lost / industries impacted / altered by platforms and surveillance capitalism.
