Assignment Task
Case Study
The purpose of this case study is to evaluate your knowledge of the topics studied and your ability to design, model implement and evaluate using a simulation of a network from a given description.
Questions
1. Configure IP address for all devices in the given topology.
2. OSPF is a link-state routing protocol that was developed as an alternative for the distance vector Routing Protocol. For large network, multiarea OSPF can be used to support hierarchical routing, what is the advantages of implementing multiarea OSPF instead of single area OSPF?
3. Active OSPF on all routers. LHD-1 connect to ISP, which should have default route to ISP and automatically distribute the default route to all routers in the network. Configure priority to make LHD-1 is DR router. Configure the OSPF so that routing updates are not sent into networks where OSPF updates are not required.
4. Configure static and dynamic NAT for all traffic entering and exiting the hospital network.
5. Configure ACL to deny traffic from LAN-5 to access LAN-1 and LAN2; configure ACL, only the Admin PC is allowed to remote access to LHD-1 and MS-1 router.
6. Please verify your ACLS and elaborate how ACL process packets.
7. Configure time on LHD-1 and all other routers synchronize their time with the LHD-1 router.
