Although you have a fee policy, she asks that you make an exception for her child until she can find another job. You also note that you have a waiting list of three other families that have steady employment. What should you do? Should you keep the child whose parent cannot pay or follow your fee policy and enroll a child whose parents can pay? Fully explain and justify your position. Include the pros and cons of your decision and discuss any difficulty you might have with making this decision. How could your decision impact your ability to maintain sufficient revenue to meet expenses? (Learning Objective 1).
