Overview
The purpose of this assignment is to investigate your learning pertaining to different aspects of business
analytics course including:
• Your technical knowledge of how to appropriately use the software and different business analytics
techniques
• Your knowledge of different concepts of data analytics
Some questions will require you to explain how a specific technique should be used, some questions are
result oriented meaning you have to calculate a specific value and some questions will ask you to interpret
the results of your calculations and provide details around how they can be applied.
The full brief which includes questions, data-sets and rubric will be available from Sunday of
Week 5, 9:00 AM Melbourne time until Thursday of Week 7, 23:59 Melbourne time.
Note
Submission points will be available from Sunday of Week 5, 9.00 Melbourne time.
The Word doc/PDF submission point is available on the same page as the brief, rubric and data sets. The
Excel submission point will be on a separate page.
The Word doc/PDF is required to include the Excel files results as this is the only graded document. You
need to transfer the results from the Excel file into the Word document. You must also submit your Excel file
(we prefer a single excel file with one or multiple worksheet for each question). If you think there is any issue
or unclarity in any question, please make your assumptions (if there is any) and clearly explain them in your
report.

Assessment details
Questions have variable marks assigned to them. The assessment will total 40 marks. If the solution approach is
correct but the final answer is not correct you may still get partial credits. Therefore, make sure you provide enough
explanations on your solution approach

includes material taken from Internet sites.
If you do not acknowledge the sources of your material, you may be accused of plagiarism because you
have passed off the work and ideas of another person without appropriate referencing, as if they were your
own.

Plagiarism covers a variety of inappropriate behaviours, including:
Failure to properly document a source
