Overview of task: A 2000-word research proposal, outlining what your study is about, what it is trying to achieve, how you will go about it and what we will learn from the study.

Additional information/guidance: Your proposal is a research plan – the context of your study together with details of what you want to do, by when, and with whom. It’s called a proposal as opposed to a plan because you need permission (ethical permission, mainly) before you get started, so you ‘propose’ research which, all being well, is then authorised and you get cracking.

In 2,000 words (+/- 10%), detail your research proposal.

The proposal should tell your supervising tutor:

What the proposed research is about.
What it is trying to find out and achieve.
How it will go about doing that.
What we will learn from it and why that is worth learning.
