As you have learned, the adjudicative process is an important aspect of an agency’s administrative process. As a public administrator, it is imperative that you be able to distinguish between informal and formal adjudications.
Create a five to eight slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with speaker’s notes detailing your findings (at least three sentences per content slide). Complete the following in your presentation:
Explain the differences between informal and formal adjudication.
Discuss the pros and cons of informal and formal adjudication.
Provide at least one example each of an agency engaging in formal and informal adjudication.
Be sure to start the slide show (after the Title Page slide) with an Introduction or road map slide and then end it with a Conclusion slide. Cover all the major topical areas of the assignment with your content slides. Your challenge will be to come up with bullet points (stay away from sentences and paragraphs; leave these for your speaker’s notes) for each slide.
Format any citations within your presentation according to APA guidelines.
