Assignment details:
Using the attached template you are required to document TWO medicines information questions that you receive whilst on placement. If you did not actually receive these TWO questions, just assume that you received them during the placement.
These TWO questions can arise in either your community pharmacy or hospital placements (or one from each).
These TWO questions should not specifically arise during the normal course of counselling on a prescription medicine or during the supply of an over-the-counter medicine.
To pass this assignment (item) you will need to:
– Demonstrate that you are able to write a clear and concise response in language that is appropriate to the individual requesting the information
– Demonstrate that you have been able to appropriately identify and appraise sources of evidence as the basis for your response.
Important extra details:
– There is not really a word limit. Some of the answers are obviously very brief. Some others may require a variable amount of text and so I have not put a limit. You really just need to use your judgement – if you are providing a response to a patient or doctor that is thousands of words you are probably providing the wrong response. The length of responses that I have received have never been an issue – the quality of response is a different matter.
