Pick a sports story (sports event, political issue pertaining sports, athlete scandal, etc.) and examine how it was covered by two different outlets (CNN, NYT, WASH POST, ETC.). Write a roughly two-page analysis (double spaced).
Your analysis should answer the following: What was the topic? From which angle(s) did they choose to cover the story? Did the journalists’ writing styles differ? If so, how? Who was faster in publishing, and was that good or bad? What (and how many) sources did they have? How did they promote the story on social media? What effect did it have on public perception of the story? What was done well? What would make the story better?
