GUIDELINES FOR INTRODUCTION:
For this assignment you must write an INTRODUCTION AND A LITERATURE REVIEW. To do this you must, first, think of an appropriate topic. (Please feel free to email me or make an appointment to speak with me if you would like help identifying an appropriate topic. I will not give you a topic, but I will help you focus and develop a topic that you present to me).
Once you have a topic in mind you will need to do some preliminary research to make sure that your question/topic hasn’t already been addressed/answered (carefully review the information above). You will need to search scholarly articles in the library and/or through the library databases (including Google Scholar). Please remember that there are links to different forms of library assistance on the Canvas. Be sure to use these.
After you develop the topic and confirm that it is something that has not been researched already you’re ready to write your introduction.
GUIDELINES FOR LITERATURE REVIEW:
Once you have found all the relevant articles you are ready to write your literature review. Here’s what you do:
1. Find at least seven (7) relevant scholarly journal articles
2. Read each article and understand it.
3. Identify the most important and directly relevant parts of the article.
4. Begin writing your literature review. To do this…
• Write a 1-2 paragraph summary of each article
• Write a 1-2 paragraph statement outlining the specific parts of each article that relate directly to your topic
5. Develop at least one (1) bona-fide “Research Question” and include it at the end 6. Develop a “Works Cited” page with all articles listed
