The Research Project: Choose a topic related to construction materials and methods that you are interested in writing about.
Create an essay: This composition should be no less than four pages (1200 words), typed and double-spaced, using standard 12-point, and should include a Bibliography (your sources of information) with at least three sources.
You must use one of these standard file formats: *.doc (the old Word file), *.docx (the newer Word file), *.pdf (Adobe’s portable document file), *.rtf (rich text file, a very old format), or *.odt (open document text file often used by Android). Warning: “Pages” files don’t upload to Canvas so if you use Mac’s “Pages” program to do your essay, be sure to “Save-As” a Word file, or a PDF file just before you upload it.
Pay attention to satisfying all of the points within the “Essay Grading Rubric” that you see here.
Remember: You UPLOAD your essay file right here! Note the due date for this essay! I will accept it after that but with 5% taken off the top for each calendar day late!
