I consider what individuals I am employing will do, their main objectives after employment, what they’ve done in the past, and what I want them to do in their first four, eight, or twelve months in the position. To ensure my recruiting process is inclusive, I made sure my job description focuses on the task that needs to be undertaken rather than the typical individual I am seeking. It recognizes that individuals from many diverse origins might be influential in the position.I made a criterion for grading, used the job profile to create a list of essential traits that are required for the role, and then described the exact qualifications showing each trait. I then decided the number of interviewees I needed for each panel and asked them similar questions one at a time, compiled the results, and appreciated everyone who participated in the interview, and I read out the successful candidate.Challenges faced during the interview and future solutionsInterview fatigue, being the only interviewer for my small business, the process was cumbersome since I interviewed twenty-five interviewees alone. I will take frequent pauses between each interview, enabling me to put down my immediate ideas while relaxing before the next candidate, and also confine myself to a maximum of four interviews a day.
