Select and watch a recent film or television series set in a historical period covered in ARTH 335, paying close attention to the costumes. Assess how accurate the costumes are and note what is wrong and what is right. You may limit your focus to one character or gender. Write a two-page paper which answers the following:
Are the actors wearing appropriate undergarments and/or understructures beneath their costumes? What materials are probably used for the garments and accessories? Are these materials and garments appropriate for the time period/characters depicted? What SHOULD they be wearing instead?
