Scenario: You are an event company, and you have just been contacted by Mr. and Mrs. Kumar to organize the engagement party of their son, Raj, with Ms. Priya Patel. The event will take place during the weekend of October 14th to 16th, 2022.
They want the event to take place in the most amazing destination. They are flexible, and their guests are coming from all over the world. They ask you to select the location that you believe will allow the organize the best event.
Their expectations:
· Welcome drink on Friday evening.
· Brunch/Lunch & suggested activities on Saturday.
· Saturday evening: engagement party. With a famous performer from 20h00 to 20h30.
· Budget: 2 mio dollars.
You are in competition with other event companies and need to present to Mr. and Mrs. Kumar the best project so they will sign the contract with you: the decision will be taken after the final presentations from all the agencies.
They are giving you a guest list with details of arrivals and departure dates so you can organize the rooms accordingly. Some information is missing but they will not be able to provide more details before you win the contract.
All required deliverables are detailed in the PowerPoint “Project Support” available on Moodle.
Special note: we will consider that the pandemic situation that the world is currently facing does not exist in our scenario.
All sections should be written in a bullet point style and must be supported by arguments with academic literature where appropriate. The report should NOT be written as an essay. You are recommended to use tables, diagrams and pictures as much as possible.
Each step of the processes is dependent on the flow of customers, information, and material. Some of these sources are readily available, others must be coordinated with other departments, or sources from outside the company.
It is expected that the students apply taught concepts and theories, through reference to academic literature.
