If possible, show the numerical rationale (NPV, IRR, Payback Period) used as a rationale. I strongly recomment that you go to the BU Sustainability site at https://www.bu.edu/sustainability/. You can find all kinds of information on the goals, mission, values and vision of Boston University in regards to climate and sustainability issues. You can also choose from dozens of projects described at that site on which you can write your report. You’ll also learn about the efforts the university is making to make this world a better place to live in. Defintiely a win-win.
