The assignment relates to the development of a design solution with the criteria covering, LO2 ( prepare a design specifications and solutions that meet a stakeholders design brief and requirements) and LO3 ( select, apply and justify appropriate approaches, methods and tools to a variety of engineering design problems).

For this case study :

A keen, but economically challenge cyclist, you need a means of carrying 2 bicycles whilst traveling between destinations on a touring holiday in your small car which has a tow bar fitted.

Complete the following;

1. Derive at least 4 concept designs to satisfy the given specifications. Use short written descriptions and simple sketches to illustrate your ideas.  Show evidence of the use of the following techniques when creating the design; brainstorming, synectics, and morphological charts.

2. Use rhe weighted objective method to select your best solution from these concept designs.

3. What other info wojld be required to be able to write a more complete product design specifications?  (Use an object tree to clarify and expand upon the vague brief given)
