Reflection:
Art and design studio is my dream , I am a textile graduate always wanted to lunch my own brand.
When I heard about this project I was extremely excited. This project enhanced my digital skills. I had so
many thoughts and ideas in my mind. Coming from a creative and productive background it was very
difficult for me to choose specific product line. After thinking and analyzing I found out that Traditional
art is losing its worth because of modern technologies and quick fixes. I decided to Launch a collection
of traditional art with the blend of modern patterns. These days it difficult to find traditional art. I
already had a collection of products which I designed during my textile and design degree. All these
products are based on logical themes and are inspired from traditional art. Being an emotional and
sensitive personality most of my work is inspired by my own life experiences. Such as autumn is the
theme which reflect my dark and tough days. Most of my work include blue color which explain my
personality which is more calm and quiet. In the beginning of this course
I took first step and created my website called ART AND DESIGN STUDIO. Well deciding a BRAND Name
was also a long process. I feel brand’s name and logos should be interesting. I create few logos with the
help of my friend and decided to stick to white, pink and black combination. Moving on I started editing
my website and uploaded my products. I also made a Instagram page to promote my brand. As soon as
I uploaded my products on Instagram I received a positive feedback.
It made me more excited and confident. I started sharing my stories and I tag different similar
businesses. Some pages gave me unpaid shout out for my page it was very helpful. My followers
are not only from Uk but also from different parts of the globe which include United states,
Pakistan, India, Turkey and Germany. 51.2% are men and 48.8 percent are women.Cities include
Istanbul, Fremont, Lahore, Karachi and Dusseldorf.

After all , I started my portfolio this process was very difficult and confusing I started with pen
profile. As I am the owner of the brand I added my pen profile in my portfolio. Afterwards i did
empathy map and so on. All my promotional activities were processed through Instagram post and
stories. I tried to share my instrgram page link on facebook but its wasn’t very successful. Not so
many people joined through facebook. The problem I faced after 1 month was that a certain
amount of audience was unfollowing everyday. I didn’t had more products to upload to gain their
attention so they were losing interest. I decided to engage them with different quizez through
stories. Such as for my new collection I did a quiz on intagram story to understand their liking and
interest.
I showed some color palate and asked which one they like the most. 48% liked
pastel colors and 52 % choose basic colors. Overall this process was interesting.
One thing I realized that some people needed customize products as I received
some dm on Intagram. I am thinking of adding a customize section on my
website where people can choose color and shapes of their choice. Such as wall
hanging few people asked me to make it on big scale. The size I had was normal
16 to 28 inches but 1 of my follower asked me if its available in bigger size. I am
planning to add some option of customization on my website. This experience is
very helpful to enhance my knowledge and skills in business and marketing. I
would love to launch this business idea in future as now I have a deep insight of
my customers and their buying behavior.
I was not confident if people would like my collection or not but after this experiance i
am confident as i recieved positive feedback from such cities and countires which i dont
even know about. Its good to know that people all over all world like Pakistani art.
