Review the RN Standards for Practice and Standards of Professional Behavior resource, please note the various colored areas. (Green, Blue, Pink). The bright yellow in the top paragraph simply emphasizes that these standards can and are used in determining competence and therefore also negligence and malpractice.
The body of your paper will have three paragraphs. There is no abstract and no conclusion. You may use level one headings only, but having headings is not required.
1st paragraph: The green shaded areas identify the Nursing Process. Given it is mentioned so frequently, apparently this is a critical competency in nursing practice. Reflect on your own practice. How do you implement this critical topic? Provide 1 example. Is not implementing it grounds for negligence or malpractice? (Cite and reference)
2nd paragraph: The blue shaded area discusses planning. In your practice, do you create or follow a patient care plan? Briefly describe how or how not and how planning influences patient outcomes. (Cite and Reference)
3rd paragraph: The pink shaded area discusses research. How do you and the institution you work in incorporate evidence-based practice into your patient care? (Cite and reference)
