Qualitative Methods In Sociology

In the WGS 317 Qualitative Methods in Sociology course, students will focus on life histories, participant observation, case studies, unstructured interviews, and research methods. This course will teach students how to analyze and prepare interview data and fieldnotes. In this course students are taught to analyze, design and conduct qualitative research studies. This course will provide students with an understanding of the principles and concepts of qualitative research. Students in the course will learn to communicate their qualitative research findings in a concise and clear manner. Students will be introduced to qualitative research methods and designs.
