Instructions:
Active learning is a process of engaging with topic material with the goal of understanding the key concepts and how relevant they may be to you. It is not a process of passively reading or re-reading information, or even attempting to memorize the information presented. Practices for active learning include underlining or highlighting as you go, making annotations or notes, questioning or critiquing the materials, navigating examples or exercises, reflecting later on the information, or explaining information in your own words.
Accordingly, as you read through the assigned reading and research for this week, use the template of guided notes posted below to consider key ideas, analytical processes, or important concepts relevant to the topic for the week.
