Sunshine Deserts is a large company that employs over 200 people. The employees have various roles including Sales, Production, Administration, and Maintenance. The company is owned by its founder CJ Scrooge.

Reggie is a middle manager with Sunshine but has never been issued with written terms of employment. CJ regards Reggie’s job description as one which can be changed at any time without any negotiation. His duties have included unblocking sewers and painting the front of the factory building.

His wages vary from week to week and sometimes he has been paid 5 euros per hour. There have been occasions when he has not received any wages because the company is of the opinion that he has not worked hard enough. Reggie has always been paid in cash, Sunshine refuse to deduct PAYE or PRSI because they do not want to hire a wages clerk.

Reggie has been instructed to purchase a shredder and hide any incriminating documents from Revenue. He has refused to do so, He has been informed that he will face disciplinary action for refusing to obey instructions.
